YAMIM NORA'IM
YAMIM NORA'IM (Heb. יָמִים נוֹרָאִים; "Days of Awe"), a term applied to the period from the first day of rosh ha-shanah until the day of atonement and more particularly to these   two festivals. This period is more commonly referred to as the ten days of penitence . Yamim Nora'im is also the title of a compilation on the subject by S.Y. Agnon .
